Dear Friends, a round up from a bit of a whirlwind of a season .....

local flowers and blosson

We started May with a welcome return visit by fun & inspiring retreat leaders Sue & Peter Dawson from Sense Greater Peace  If you're lucky enough to live in North Devon do look them up & join one of Sue's regular classes (many on the beach) or join one of their future retreats. Plans for a return here next next Autumn are afoot.

  • Also in May our first visit by Gina Navarro of Wellness by Georgina and her family team to run the most gorgeous pampering experience. She came back with more guests this month & will be running another retreat here next May as well as others in the UK.

  • May also brought 2 weeks with large friendship groups & more young babies & toddlers than I've ever seen in one place before. Luckily we have sooo many high chairs, cots, nappy bins etc etc etc. A lot of fun!

  • At the start of June we were delighted when retreat specialists, Nectar Flow, came to Mouret as part of their truly global yoga retreat business. Nectar co-founder, Amy, had a big year out of the yoga studio too, getting married last month! Check out their 2025 retreat program to places as diverse as Sweden & Morocco.

  • We continued a month of retreats in June with our 2024 Nourish retreat, for the first time with Kirsten Chick, a super talented nutritionist & delightful retreat leader working with a Mouret favourite holistic chef & qi gong teacher, Hayley North.

  • A special highlight for Jack & me was running the Move for Life! retreat with Asha, our long time friend & former personal trainer from our London days. It was great & she's back next June for another Move!

  • This summer we've welcomed & enjoyed meeting over 40 guests who are members of The Compassionate Friends "TCF", the brilliant peer led charity which supports bereaved parents & siblings. 3 more TCF weeks are on the calendar for next year.

  • July brought a fun week with the young, fun, talented Bold Bean Company team on a working visit to Mouret. I don't think Mouret will ever get cooler than this Reel they made whilst here. This also gave us the chance to welcome back chef, Master Chef finalist & generally talented all rounder Giovanna Ryan who collabed (I think that's a word) with Bold Beans & also cooked up a delicious supper club.

  • August & September were a blur of delightful families & friends of all ages having fun at Mouret. They celebrated big number birthdays, life events & generally spending time together. The tennis court saw some serious competitive action.

  • Which brings us to this month & Gina's second retreat of the year.

What a fabulous, hectic, entertaining summer we've had. Jack's done a rough count & tells me this all adds up to around 1200 nights of Mouret hospitality. About 70% of our guests have been returners or friends of past guests. It really does feel like welcoming old friends home when we see returning guests. Thank you again to everyone!
